Export Consolidation

Another phenomenal growth area for ISC has been in our export department. Originally awarded the task in 1997, this department has grown from one customer and one location to many export customers in Europe, South America and beyond. Shipping rates currently average 69 containers per week or 3588 containers per year.

For this project, ISC brings in materials we buy, materials we make and materials the customer purchases from third party suppliers. These items are then reported, preserved, packed for sea or air as required, containerized and then shipped abroad.

ISC routinely develops new skids and packaging configurations to more effectively use the available container space, which directly equates to a cost savings. As a direct result of ISC's accuracy and delivery over a previous competitor, our customer was able to reduce on hand inventory in their plant by 4 weeks. It is this type of effort and dedication that has allowed ISC to expand this project to multiple overseas locations. For these same reasons, ISC has also been approached to be a strategic buyer, importer and consolidator of foreign goods used in our customer's domestic production. We look forward to the new challenge.
